What's the difference between the Toro 1800 and Greenworks 26032? These two machines are basically almost the same except the Toro is lighter. The Greenworks 26032 has a wider 20" clearing width compared to 18" Toro. The GreenWorks is also a lot cheaper than the Toro 1800.

Answer
I've owned a Toro 1800 for 8 years, and just bought a Greenworks 26032. I just tried it out. I was a big fan of the Toro, but I think the GreenWorks is better built, and given that it's cheaper and has a longer warranty, I think it's a no-brainer. The only reason I'd consider the Toro if I were buying another now is its lighter weight--it's pretty amazing what it can do for its small size and weight. But that's only an issue for smaller people who might have trouble handling the 37 lb Greenworks, and would have an easier time with the 24 lb Toro. (C. Sullivan answered on January 8, 2011)
